Westbound Park Road traffic is supposed to stop for the red arrow, even when the solid green light is lit. A number of drivers don't understand that, figuring that "green" means "go", and never mind that red arrow. This is a hazard to pedestrians using the crosswalk to cross Park Road on the northwest side of the intersection. There is a "right turn on green (arrow symbol) only" sign, but that's not sufficiently obvious or unambiguous to be perceived by all drivers.

DDOT has come up with a bigger, more explicit "turn on green arrow only" sign, which can be seen on 15th Street at Florida Avenue. I've requested one of those for our intersection. Councilmember Graham has endorsed my request.
