At 1:30 this morning the police helicopters were circling my house...not kidding...it sounded like they were going to land on my roof! I"m at 17th and Newton and the walls were shaking! They kept coming back probably about 5 or 6 times!!! My toddler was freaking out...
Anybody have any clue what was going on and if the bad guy was caught?

| There were several police cars on 18th between Park and Monroe. I overheard a conversation that suggested possibly a break-in or intruder. Someone was telling the police that he'd been away, and the police was asking via radio for someone to go to the rear. That's fragmentary evidence, but I, too, first heard the chopper, then got up to check and saw the squad cars. Don't know for sure what was going on, only where it was. Nor do I know how it worked out. |

| I heard what MAY have been gunshots around 11:30 pm. Not sure where they came from and it was some distance away, but maybe this was related?? |

I live near the area and also heard the helicopter. What surprised me the most was not the helicopter flying near our houses (back where I come from it happened from time to time) but that it kept coming back - I counted 4 times. I dismissed it the first two times but then woke up to check around. Did not see anything. Put the alarm on max just in case.
It lasted for about 20 minutes. A long time at that time of the day...
Any other way to find out what happened? |
