So this morning I had to deal with something I would hope would be an exception, but really is a norm for me.
One of my alley entrances - the one closest to me, isn't really accessible because barriers have been build on city property on one of the corners - making the corner hard to navigate without damaging your car. I have complained about this but nothing has happened in years.
It doesn't matter anyways, because contractors have blocked that entrance every day for about two months now. There are two other entrances, and the second one has been blocked for weeks now (18th close to Park) by contractors repairing a roof and I assume doing more work. And the final entrance where the alley meets the triagle park at Park and Mt Pleasant was also blocked by contractors.
They ticket like crazy on the streets but there is no enforcment of this...why is that? If it wasn't happening every day it wouldn't drive me so crazy, but it is the norm. |

| Yours is not the only alley that constantly is blocked. Anything near Mt Pleasant street, legal or no, regularly has cars parking in it. In my case it's the Bestway crowd. Never have a seen a ticket given. Parking enforcement just cruises right by. |
