Mt. Pleasant had a pretty thriving series of monthly potlucks geared towards the neighborhood's LGBT community (along with their friends and neighbors), which quietly wound down about 4 years ago. After moving away from Mt. P during that time and recently returning to the neighborhood, I would love to see this series revived. These potlucks happened the evening of every second Sunday and typically attracted a small crowd bearing fantastic food and company. A new 'host' would have the potluck at his or her place each month, providing a space in which to gather, utensils, plates, and sodas - potluck 'guests' brought everything else. I'd be happy to coordinate these potlucks again (some of you long-timers might remember me coordinating the old potlucks). Please let me know if you'd be interested in attending future potlucks, and especially if you'd like to consider hosting one (I assure you that hosting is a VERY easy job). If interest picks up and we have a host volunteer, the potlucks could start anew as early as October 8!
