College presidents from about 100 of the nation's best-known universities, including Duke, Dartmouth and Ohio State, are calling on lawmakers to consider lowering the drinking age from 21 to 18, saying current laws actually encourage dangerous binge drinking on campus.
What do you think? |

I think it's high time we give back the same rights to people of the age that we ask them to die for their country and vote for our leaders that we do their elders who would impose such an idiotic restriction.
The data from the MA study in the wake of raising the age requirement demonstrates that there were actually MORE people killed as a result of drunk drivers when the age was raised... and it has not gone down. |

I'd like my teenager to be able to drink in Mt. Pleasant so he'll stop drinking in my basement.
Yeah, so sue me. |

Lower it. People (kids) will drink regardless, so let's give them the opportunity to do so in a legal environment.
In fact, let's raise the driving age. 16 is way to young to put kids behind the wheel. You're putting others' lives at risk by doing so. |

| Yes, lower it. If we were in Europe this wouldn't be a problem. |
