The information on the ANC in this forum and on www.anc1d.com is quite outdated. Is there some place else we can look to find out such basic information as who our current commissioners are, minutes, press releases?

We've had difficulty in transitioning the 1D Web site to the new commissioners. In time, we'll have a new and much improved site. Meanwhile, I'm posting meeting agendas and other information here.

There have been, since the start of the newly elected ANC, no press releases, and minutes for the meetings since September were approved only at this week's meeting. So there hasn't been much, other than agendas, to post.

I'll put up a list of the current commissioners here today. Thanks for reminding me about that.

Hello Commissioners,

I am curious as when the special election will be held to fill the vacancy in Single Member District 06. Given that there were two candidates prior to last month's meeting, can we expect a special election at the next meeting?

We have not yet heard from the BOEE concerning qualified candidates for the vacancy. No doubt we'll hear soon, and if there are in fact two, then that announcement will be made at the March meeting, and the special election at the April meeting. -- Jack

I don't know what the website problems entail, but perhaps http://www.anc1d.org/about/ could get an update with the info. for the D06---the candidates who have already declared, how one can declare to be a candidate, etc.

Renata,

We have had some issues with the ISP that have prohibited us from making any updates to the site. We believe we will have those issues resolved soon.

On the 1D06 special election -- the names of the individuals that have been recognized as candidates by the Board of Elections & Ethics (BOEE) are as follows:

Rick Massumi
Angelia Scott

I believe that the time period for filing the necessary forms for candidacy has expired. Jack may be able to provide more information.

The special election will be held on Sat, April 2nd from 2-5 PM in the special meeting room of the Mt Pleasant Library. Additional info will be posted as it becomes available.
