| I heard a loud explosion/blast sound at about 10pm, coming from around Kilbourne & Mt.Pleasant Sts. It shook windows. I saw police cars cruising by shortly thereafter. Anybody else here this sound? or know what caused it? |

Yeah, I think it had something to do with a large white pickup truck I saw leave the alley shortly after. I think is sounded more like a large heavy metal object hitting pavement.... like a dumpster.
At the sound level you would have seen proof of an explosion |

We actually called 911 thinking initially that it was a gun shot. We saw someone walking north on the 1700 block of Irving / from the direction of the noise. He said it was a "dust bin".
I called 911 back to tell them but an officer had been sent already. I spoke to the officer as he was driving up the alley. He said he had heard the noise and actually was checking it out when he got the call. He said he initially thought it was a trash can as well but would continue to check it out... |
