The Washington Post published an article about the Mount Pleasant Branch Library today, September 30 in the District Extra. If you don't get the paper, the link is below:

If you know of any local businesses or possible donors that could contribute to supporting the services of the library, contact the Library and they will point you toward the Friends of the Mount Pleasant Library to accept and coordinate donations.

The article was really pretty fair in characterizing the good work that the library does with few resources. But the citizens of Ward 1 deserve better from the District government. Let the DC Council know what you expect from a public library and hold them accountable to that standard.
