| I received a phone call soliciting funds for something called DC Coalition of Police. They said they were raising money to buy school supplies for kids. They asked me to leave a donation to be picked up in person (not by an officer). I was not comfortable with that. When they called back I asked for an address to send a check, they said that they didn't have one. School supplies in April? Is this legit? |

To Officer TK Mattingly
Before you post on the internet for all to see, it is important that you do your research before you say "No this is NOT LEGIT" DC Coalition of Police is a police group that has been around for about 5 years, remember one thing Officer TK Mattingly the Fraternal Order of Police which is the largest police group in the United States which you are probably a member of started out with 3 men in a basement of a house, ALL groups have to start from somewhere, DC Coalition of Police sends out child id kits, sponsors street survival schools that law enforcement officers go to get advanced training and buys school supplies for DC public school children in September and buys clothing such as underware, socks the basics that some of the children in DC need in December, so before you bash another police group PLEASE do your homework, I can be reached @ 1-800-990-4202 Charles R.Haynes |

R-
Regardless of whether or not it's legit, never give money to an organization that can't supply you with an address. Even a house with a basement has an address. |

| I checked out the DC Coalition of Police "address" and their suite is about as big as a post office box! |
