I was wondering what happened on Saturday, sometime after midnight. Police and emergency vehicles (including ambulance) blocked off 16th St between Lamont and Park. Of course, this scenario set off alarms because it was similar to what happened following the murder on the 1600 block of Monroe a few weeks ago.

What can you tell us? We haven't seen anything in the news and the police reports on the forum don't include this date.

It was nice to accidentally meet you in person the other night. I think, unless one of you is off by a day, the incident you refer to is the same as the inquiry about the helicopter made by Ken Malloy. I am not aware of any incident specifically near Bancroft, but the car chase could have been what woke everyone up. I

No, these are two separate incidents. This one did not involve any helicopters, was on the day and time I mentioned and was on 16th St in front of the Majestic apartment bldg at 3200 16th St. There were at least 3 patrol vehicles (probably more like 5) and an ambulance in front of the Majestic. 16th St was blocked off with yellow tape and all traffic (north and south bound) was diverted off 16th. Because of all the police activity, it seems that whatever happened would probably be criminal in nature rather than just an ambulance responding to a medical emergency.
