My husband and I are volunteers working in D.C.through the Mennonite
Central Committee (MCC). When I had my dear daughter Lucy four months ago,
and headed back to volunteering in an office, I took her with
me. You can imagine how that went- pretty chaotic. MCC is now saying
that instead of working in an office (for which MCC receives about
$6.00 an hour to cover my food and medical care) I could care for
another child for the same amount. Ideally, I would be doing this for
twenty hours a week.

So- if there are any moms who are thinking about heading back to work
part time and are interested, let's talk, maybe have our children
meet, and see how we feel about it. My e-mail is
