At 10 am today, our handyman arrived at our house on 1700 block of Irving to find two 20- to 23-year-old black men peering through our front windows. The handyman came up the front walk and asked them if he could help them. One of them explained that they were looking for a tattoo parlor they had visited before. Our handyman asked what was the address of the tattoo parlor. The other man looked up and read aloud our house number. They slowly walked away without looking at any other houses.

If anyone knows of a tattoo parlor that recently existed on my residential block, then I will be pleased to know of it!

Assuming that this was casing for a burglary, I would urge everyone to be vigilant.

An African-American male has twice now knocked on our door late evening - last night he showed up at 11 p.m. We're not sure of his goal - casing for burglary or looking for opportunities for robbery or whether he's simply disturbed in some way. I'm wondering if he is knocking on other doors in the neigbhorhood. He's black, 5.8-5.9 ft. tall, stubble beard and wore a black shirt in both instances. We called the police in the second instance, because it was a repeat visit and because a neighbor's house was recently burglarized.
