| Our new, Drupal-based Web site is now operational, though still in the final development stage. Check it out: http://anc1d.org/ and let us know what you think. -- Jack |

simple and clean. I really like the google group thread at the bottom - makes it a one stop shop.
The only thing that would make this site not work if it's not updated regularly.
Good work ANC! |

Thank you! "Simple and clean" is, indeed, what I specified. The purpose is to communicate information to the public, not to impress anybody with our Web site talents. And as long as I'm ANC1D Secretary, yes, it will be updated regularly.
The google group feed on the home page was Phil Lepanto's idea. In fact, he wrote the specs for the ANC1D Web site, about a year ago. The site was built by Ben Siegler, Newton Street resident, and proprietor of eGovernment Solutions, LLC. I'm pleased with his work.

Very nice.
One comment/suggestion:
It seems that there is no way to reach each commissioner separately. There is one email address for all but the "commissioners" tab takes you to a private page for their own use
I would suggest to take this page off the website if this really all this does: they know the address and it should be invisible to everyone else (or you are really inviting some hacking...)
OR add a place on the "commissioners" page where one could leave a comment/question for their very own commissioner...
Thanks,
Ilana |

On the "Commissioners" page (not the drop-down for the individual commissioners) you'll find the six commissioners, with addresses, phone numbers, and e-mail links.
The drop-down tends to cause one to bypass the general "commissioners" page. I don't know quite what to do about that. Might revise the drop-down so that the top entry is the general "commissioners" page.

I put e-mail links for the commissioners on the home page. Good idea, thanks! -- Jack |
