Guess I'm puzzled at how such an event -- three live bands? -- could take place in what I believe is a residential row house. Given all the concern about live music and crowds of people and late-night noise associated with Mount Pleasant Street restaurants, you would think that this event would be problematical. I'm curious, what's known about this? -- Jack

Crab's Claw is hosting another House Show this Saturday night in Mount Pleasant, this time with the local guys, and my personal friends, in MOTHER. Please arrive on the early end if you'd like to get in. Not sure exactly how they have this set up. There will be two other bands also playing that night. Not sure what the line up order is exactly, here's the link to the facebook invite.
Mother, Power Animal, Brandon (of Laughing Man)
You can checkout the original tunes MOTHER on their website, and also on their facebook page and twitter if you'd like to stay connected. Brad, who sings and plays bass in the band, is also a digital artist who's work is on view now at Vivid. The image in this post is from his new series.

DCRA needs to inspect that house. The siding is literally falling off, and there are a lot of people living there.
As for the residents, they have a late night happy hour every single night, and the stream of empty PBR cans and keg cups stretches down the block every weekend morning. I think MPD will be shutting down their concert series before 3 am. |

| Hm. I wonder how many late-night disturbances blamed on Haydee's have actually been due to this nearby location. -- Jack |
