Walking home from dinner tonight I witnessed the 18th and Monroe crew back to their old habits again. This time they had moved to 18th and Park. All were wearing white t-shirts and 3 of the 4 members were new african american men that I have not seen before. I definitely witnessed a deal going down at the H4 bus stop on the north side of Park at 18th. I also witnessed another young man in a white t-shirt come out of 1833 Monroe (I have never seen him before).

Called 911 to report the activity, and then tried both livelink numbers... both numbers went directly to voicemail. I'm not sure if the police will actually respond, but I have to say that I am extremely frustrated with how bold this crew has gotten and that their numbers are growing... this is exactly what was happening last summer before the shootings happened...

Why is the livelink number going to voicemail, and what is the police doing to stop this crew from getting back to full strength?

This crowd of thugs was all over the intersection of 18th and Monroe around 11 pm Friday April 18. Earlier, they'd been hanging at the entrance to the alley just north of Park on 18th. Last night they were in the alley behind my house. We need police patrolling the alleys as well as the neighborhood streets. These guys are acting like no one is paying attention. Neighbors can't do much about it ourselves other than observe accurately and report.

We are aware that they are actively engaging in sales again. We have had changes in Vice with a new Lt... I have forwarded information obtained from neighbors in the area and the Vice office will be doing buy bust operations in the area. The foot officers will start harassing and identifying individuals on a daily basis to make it uncomfortably for the individuals hanging out in the area.
